TEACHERS: Anita Nicholls and Sally Wood
Anita found yoga aged 17. After each class she would feel calm and she noticed over time that this effect over time was accumulative. The combination of breath, movement and awareness was so potent it ignited something within her. In 2014she undertook a part-time Yoga teacher training alongside her studies in Architecture. She immersed herself into study and practice, as the authenticity of Yoga was something that she was drawn to. As her practice advanced she found the immense power of the breath in calming the mind, aiding concentration and appropriate effort.

Sally started practicing Yoga in 2000, a new year’s resolution for a new century to improve flexibility. Yoga gave so much more; improved flexibility... yes, a stronger body and to her surprise, improved mental resilience, reduced mood swings, increased confidence and lowered anxiety.
In 2003 Sally graduated as a Yoga teacher. She subsequently taught in various settings: Yoga studios, corporate classes, wellness centres, gyms and secondary schools. Sally graduated in 2018 from the Yoga Teacher Training course provided by Melbourne Yoga Shala.
Sally believes Yoga is a skill building process and is keen to present Yoga as a practical tool relevant to our culture and times.
“I encourage you to experience Yoga tailored to your body. How good it makes you feel. The strength Yoga brings. How Yoga supports living a vibrant life in action, mind and body.”
